Britain has got Talent. I saw it when I took my family to see Houdini the Musical at the Theatre Royal St Helens on Friday 15th June. The show was absolutely amazing. The music, dancing and singing were brilliant and the illusions were totally breathtaking. Forget David Blaine starving himself in a glass box above the Thames, go and see Houdini immerse himself in a glass tank handcuffed and weighted down only to disappear and emerge behind the audience.

Sadly if you want to see this wonderful show now you will have to travel to St Annes, Rhyl or even further. (tour dates can be found on their website www.houdinithemusical.co.uk )

The only thing missing from this show was a decent audience. Perhaps they were watching Big Brother of cute little girl pretending to be Mary Poppins.
